iPad mini 4 – From $579
The iPad mini 4 was announced along with the iPad Pro on September 9, 2015 and released the same day. It is the oldest iPad still on sale.
Unless you need a super small iPad we don’t see any benefit of this iPad compared to the it’s bigger sibling. The iPad Mini 4 has a 7.9-inch display and is currently sold in only the 128GB size.
The iPad mini 4 is available for $579 (wifi only) or $779 (wifi + cellular) and is available in Silver, Gold or Space Grey.

Apple released a new iPad in 2018 with Apple Pencil (1st generation support). It has a 9.7-inch display and is available in Silver, Gold or Space Grey.
The new iPad is the lowest cost iPad available with a 32GB model starting at $469 (wifi only) or $669 (wifi + cellular). It is also available in an 128GB version for $599 (wifi only) or $799 (wifi + cellular).

Apple has kept the previous generation iPad Pro 10.5 inch model while introducing the more expensive new iPad Pro 11-inch and 12.9-inch.
Sadly Apple does not seem to have reduced the price of the older generation devices.
The 64GB model is available for $979 (wifi only) and $1,179 (wifi + cellular). It is also available in a 256GB model for $1,199 (wifi only) and $1,399 (wifi + cellular). A 512GB is also available for $1,499 (wifi only) and $1,699 (wifi + cellular).
The 10.5-inch iPad is available in Rose Gold, Gold, Silver and Space Grey.
