Which banks support Apple Pay in Australia?

American Express was the first to launch Apple Pay in Australia back in 2015 but there are many more options in 2019 if you are looking for Apple Pay. eftpos support is also slowing rolling out to banks and credit unions in 2019.

The Big 4 Aussie Banks

ANZ Apple Pay

ANZ was the first to launch Apple Pay of the Big 4 back in 2016. ANZ was also the first this year to support EFTPOS & cash out via Apple Pay.

NAB Apple Pay

After Commonwealth’s launch in January 2019 NAB (& its subsidiary UBank) decided it would join the party and launched Apple Pay in May.

Westpac (including it’s subsidiaries St George, Bank of Melbourne & Bank SA) has not officially announced Apple Pay but after CommBank’s announcement has said it is listening to customers and is open to Apple Pay.

Other Apple Pay Possibilities

Indue has said for some time now that it will be launching Apple Pay but has gone very quiet recently. Their platform is used by a number of smaller banks and credit unions. Bank of Queensland and Qudos Bank are members that are likely to come online when Indue launches support.
