CommBank launches Apple Pay for businesses

After the overwhelming success of their consumer Apple Pay launch the Commonwealth Bank has expended Apple Pay to their business cards.

CommBank announced their intention to launch Apple Pay late last year and provided access to consumers in January this year through their main brand and their budget brand; Bankwest.

Within 2 weeks of launching the consumer service half a million consumers had signed up to the service and saw a 400 percent surge in mobile payments.

Just like the consumer launch CommBank is putting this down to customer demand.

Delivering simple, intuitive digital payment solutions that provide choice and convenience, will continue to be a key focus for us in 2019

The bank is already receiving some feedback after the launch with some customers not happy the consumer and business cards are the same colour and easily confused.

Which banks support Apple Pay in Australia?

ANZ has offered consumer and business Apple Pay for years now and recently added EFTPOS cards to the mix.

Despite Westpac & NAB saying that they were listening to customers and open to Apple Pay back in December last year they have been quiet as a mouse since.
