Apple has announced the release of iOS 12.1 today bringing a number of previously announced features.
Group FaceTime
Group FaceTime was originally slated to be included in iOS 12 but was pulled late from the beta program.
Group FaceTime allows you to add an additional person to an existing call, join an active FaceTime call and use stickers, filters, Animoji or Memoji in Group calls.
When an invitation is received you can join by audio or video from iPhone, iPad or Mac.
Group FaceTime introduces the auto detection of the current speaker on the call and allows you to quickly start a group call from a group message in Messages.
New Emoji
Apple is introducing over 70 new emoji including new characters with red hair, grey hair and curly hair, a new emoji for bald people, more emotive smiley faces and additional emoji representing animals, sports and food.

Depth Control in Camera
With iOS 12.1 iPhone users can now adjust the depth control of photos with real time preview and after the photos are already taken!
Dual SIM
The iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR will get the previously announced Dual SIM support that will allow them to use both a physical and eSIM.
No major Australian carriers have announced support for Dual SIM in iPhone but you can use it for overseas travel to reduce data costs.
