New TV & News Services to be announced March 25th

Apple is rumoured to be announcing its paid news and TV subscription services at an event on the 25th of March.

The event is said to be held at Apple Park but do not expect the services to be available immediately with launches said to mid to late this year.

Apple has been working with publishers on it news publishing service for some time and is said to be in conflict with some over the revenue split of the service.

The TV & Movie subscription service has been rumoured for some time with Apple investing 1 billion US dollars in producing original content for its service.

There have been ongoing rumours including that Apple will offer the TV streaming service for free on some devices.

Some big names, including Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell, are involved in shows for Apple and have been invited to the event.

Sources familiar with the plans say Apple’s video service will be targeted for a launch in summer or fall rather than the April timing that has been the subject of media speculation. Apple has vowed to its high-caliber producing partners to mount marketing blitzes on behalf of the shows in addition to the service itself.

There are also rumours product launches of AirPods 2, AirPower, updated iPad mini and a new iPad around the same time. Current rumours suggest they may not be announced at the event and may launch by Press Release.

Apple’s plans for product launches change regularly so stay tuned for updates.
