The date and products expected for this years Apple Worldwide Developers Conference have started to circulate.
Where & when will WWDC be held?
The event usually occurs around the early June timeframe and a slip up by a convention centre in San Jose, California indicates that this year will be no different.
A listing which has subsequently been removed has identified that the event will be held at San Jose McEnery Conference Center. The event is expected to take place from the 3rd to 7th of June.
What is going to be launched?
An analyst note by Ming-Chi Kuo who has a fairly good track record for upcoming products has indicated a few new products that are likely to be announced at WWDC.
A return to the days of an easy to upgrade Mac Pro has long been sought by Apple’s Professional customers and the current rumours are that this year will see its return. There is limited information but expect further rumours to come!
In another return Apple will launch a 6K display with a resolution of 6,144 x 3,072 which at a 31.6-inch diagonal size will yield a pixel density of roughly 217 ppi.
Apple discontinued it’s previous display in 2016 after letting it languish with no updates for sometime. Apple has been promoting LG 4K and 5K displays since it discontinued its own model.
The Larger MacBook Pro Returns!
In what will be another hugely popular return for the crowd at WWDC Apple is expected to launch a new larger MacBook Pro. While it won’t quite see the return of the 17″ MacBook Pro it is close and is expected to be 16 to 16.5 inches.
It is unclear if it will be a new model or an upgrade to the current 15″ model.
The report also suggests that the 13″ model will receive some updates including the ability to support 32GB of memory but makes no mention of the 15″ model..
