Apple is slowly revamping its Australian stores to a new modern design and the first two have also relocated to larger spaces.
In November 2017 Apple opened its new Chadstone store in a space three times larger than the previous store in the Chadstone Shopping Centre.
The new Chadstone store included a massive skylight, native Ficus Flash trees, a 6K video wall, a forum gathering space and a dedicated business space.
The new Robina store in Robina Town Centre features the same large pivoting glass doors as the new Chadstone store. It does include a video wall and is much larger than the store it replaces but lacks the trees or forum gathering space of the Chadstone store.
Apple has also been trying to get approval for a third modern store in Melbourne’s Federation Square but has been confronted with some opposition.
