The Apple Arcade gaming subscription service Apple announced last month will reportedly launch with over 100 games and Apple is spending big on the content.
The Financial Times sources report that Apple is spending several million dollars per launch title for the new service. Although not as large was the reported 2 billion being spent on Apple TV+ it is a huge investment in the new service.
Apple Arcade was launch at a Special Event last month alongside Apple TV+, Apple TV Channels, a new Apple TV app and Apple News+.
Apple Arcade will be a monthly subscription service launching on macOS, iOS & tvOS later this year. It will be available in over 150 countries at launch. There will be no ads or additional in app purchases for any of the apps within Apple Arcade.
The service will feature games from Annapurna Interactive, Bossa Studios, Cartoon Network, Finji, Giant Squid, Klei Entertainment, Konami, LEGO, Mistwalker Corporation, SEGA, Snowman, ustwo games and dozens more.
