Apple’s New TV Streaming Service Expected to Launch in 100+ Countries

Reports suggest that Apple is planning to launch its TV service in over 100 countries in the first half of next year.

The launch will of course begin with the US but according to The Information will be followed by over 100+ countries. While Australia is not specifically mentioned it seems likely we will be included in one of the initial rollouts.

Apple has a number of TV shows, movies and documentaries in production at the moment after announcing it would spend 1 billion US dollars on content last year.

The latest rumour from Variety suggest Steve Carell will join Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston in a new morning show drama series. This will be his first TV series since the much loved show The Office.

The show is based on Brian Stelter’s non-fiction book Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV.

Rumours also suggest that the Apple streaming service will launch free for those with the TV App on iPhone, iPad & Apple TV. We suspect there will be some content for free in addition to a paid service.
